Plans to create a local Green Party for Bexley continue, with its founding meeting due to take place in October.
After months of hard work, Bexley residents will finally have their own local Green Party. The result of the ballot of Green Party members resident in Bexley, which took place via e-mail 14-28 August, produced 25 votes in favour of creating Bexley Green Party, and only one vote against. The result of the ballot was ratified at Bromley Green Party's meeting of 9 September, where attendees unanimously backed the result.
Work is now underway by active members resident in Bexley, in preparation for Bexley Green Party's founding meeting due to take place in October.
Until 9 September 2015, Bexley residents were members of Bromley Green Party, which administered all Green Party membership and activity in both Bromley and Bexley.
