Refuse Crayford Marshes planning application, urges Green MEP

24 October 2016

The Green Party's Jean Lambert, MEP for London, has written to Bexley Council urging them to refuse the planning application for the building of a rail freight terminal on Crayford Marshes, citing:

  • Increase in carbon emissions
  • Increase in air pollution, affecting the health of local people
  • Increase in traffic and loss of open space, reducing the quality of life for local people
  • Reduction of habitat for small-remaining populations of certain species.
